NERO, (A.D. 54-68), silver denarius, issued c.66, Rome mint, (3.542 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Nero, around NE[RO CAES]AR AVGVSTVS, rev. Salus enthroned to left, holding patera, SALVS in exergue, (S.1945, RIC 52, BMC 90, RSC 314). Off centred obverse, otherwise very fine.

Ex Romanorum ACT with their ticket and previously from Itallo Vecchi Auction Sale 14, 5th February 1999 (lot 1058).
