LYDIA, Sardes. Nero. (A.D. 54-68). AE 17mm (3.774 grams). issued by Minidius, strategus for the second time. Struck circa 60, obv. laureate head of Nero right to right, around **NERWN KAISAR*, rev. laureate head of beardless Herakles right, wearing lion's skin tied at neck, **EPI MINIDIOU SARDIANWN* around, (cf.S.592, RPC I 3002, SNG Copenhagen 522). Very fine with a green and brown patina.
