BACTRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrios I, (205-190 B.C.), silver obol (diobol), (1.076 grams), Merv? mint, obv. diademed and draped bust of Demetrios to right wearing an elephant's scalp and head-dress, rev. young naked Herakles standing facing, crowning himself, and holding club and lion's skin, BASILEWS DHMHTPIOY, **F in field to left, (cf.S.7531, M.105d, Bop. Series 3C). Good very fine/very fine and very rare with this weight.
