MACEDON, Aegae, (520-480 B.C.), silver eighth stater, (0.868 grams), obv. goat kneeling to right, rev. four part incuse square of early archaic form, (cf.S.1293, SNG ANS 66, SNG Cop. 25, Traite II, I, 1950, cf. Berk sale 59, 163). Very fine and very rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 57 (lot 857) and previously from the CNA Auction, June 5, 1991 (lot 926 part).
