SASSANIAN KING, Kavad I, (A.D. 488-496, 498-531), silver drachm, first reign issue 488-496, (4.006 grams), obv. bust to right with crown, name in outer margin, rev. fire altar, SR = Sirayan mint, (Sellwood 51, Gobl 183, M.1016). Attractive brightness, extremely fine and very scarce.
