THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachus, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.682 grams), Magnesia mint, issued 297/6-282/1 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, outer left race torch with fillets, inner left **PUR* monogram to left, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **LUSIMAXOU*, (cf.S.6814, Thompson 115, Armenak 860-862 [ANS MN 31 [p.83, Plate 21], SNG Cop. 1110, Meydancikkale -). Lightly toned, small flan, good very fine/very fine and scarce.
