SICILY, Syracuse, period of Timoleon, (344-336 B.C.), hemilitron, AE 24, (15.348 grams), obv. head of Zeus Eleutherios laureate to right, around **I[EUS ELEUQ]ERIOS*, rev. thunderbolt, eagle standing to right in right field, around **[SU]RAKOSIWN*, (S.1192, BMC 313, SNG ANS 477-488, Calciati 71, Weber 1653). Brown tone, off centred obverse, otherwise attractive good very fine and very scarce.
