SICILY, Acragas (Agrigentum), (c.500-480 B.C.), silver didrachm, Jenkins Group IIa, (8.248 grams), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, traces of AKRA behind, CA**S* in front, rev. broad crab within circular incuse field, (cf.S.709, BMC 21, SNG ANS 930 [same dies]). Good silver with grey patina on reverse, good fine/ very fine and a very rare type, known by only one die.
