ITALY, Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (272-235 B.C.), silver stater or nomos, (6.310 grams), obv. naked boy rider crowning walking horse to left, below **FILW*/TAC, to right of horse **DI*, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a distaff in left hand and a kantharos in right hand, **TAPAS* below, (cf.S.374, cf.Vl.846-851, SNG ANS 1173-1177). Good very fine.
