MADRAS PRESIDENCY, 1803-1808 European Minting, Soho mint Birmingham, proof five cash in copper, 1803, obv. company arms, 1803 date below, very small letters above, rev. Value in English and Persian, (Pr. 209, KM. 318). Brilliant, FDC, even about full red colour, rare.

Ex J. Gartner Collection and Colin E. Pitchfork Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 48 (lot 2019). The dies used to strike the proofs differ from the currency five cash. The significant difference is the use of very small letters on the obverse legend.
