WEST AFRICA, Gold Coast Settlements, George III, silver ackey, 1796, struck 1801 in reduced silver fineness 890 (from 925) reads Parliament, struck by the Soho Mint, Birmingham (Vice FT2; KM.7). Attractive even grey toned good very fine and very rare.

Ex Sir John Wheeler Collection (ticket says Bt. August 1945 (Pridmore) and purchased from Spink & Son, Numismatic Circular (3475) in 1996 (?)
