ISLE OF MAN, Douglas Bank Co., penny and halfpenny, 1811, view of Peel Castle from quay/legend in four lines (Davis 10, illustrated 16; Pr. 51 and 57; McC 106, 111). Dark bluish brown patinas, the penny good extremely fine, the halfpenny with surface mark in sky on obverse, otherwise extremely fine, rare in this condition. (2)

Ex W.J. Noble Token Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 58 (lot 1965) and previously purchased from J. Gartner Collection, Max Stern & Co. in 1966.
