WILLIAM III, silver shilling, 1696, C under bust for Chester, first bust with ribbon ties missing, R over V (inverted A) in GRA (S.3499, ESC 1082a). Weakly struck on base of bust, full mint bloom, attractive red and gold toning, practically mint state and an extremely rare variety.
