MAXIMINUS, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.384 grams), issued 235-236, obv. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. PROVIDENTIA AVG, Providentia standing to left with baton and cornucopiae, globe at feet, (S.8315, RIC 13, RSC 77). Blue and gold tone, extremely fine and scarce.
