GETA, (A.D.209-212), issued as Augustus 210, silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.072 grams), obv. P SEPT GETA PIVS AVG BRIT, laureate head of Geta to right, rev. around VICTORIA BRIT, Victory standing to left, holding wreath and palm, (S.7254, RIC 92, RSC 219). Light grey and gold tone, nearly extremely fine and a rare type.

This issue refers to the Severan successes in the military campaigns in Northern Britain beyond the provincial frontier.
