PLAUTILLA (WIFE OF CARACALLA), (c. A.D. 202-205), silver denarius, issued 203, (3.790 grams), obv. draped bust of Plautilla to right, around PLAVTILLA AVGVSTA, rev. Pietas standing to right holding a child, around PIETAS AVG, (S.7072, RIC 367, RSC 16). Large flan well centred, blue and gold tone on grey patina, nearly extremely fine and scarce.

The Reka Devnia hoard of 81,044 silver coins contained 507 coins of Plautilla and 113 coins of this variety.
