GERMANY, Germany's Crucifixion (Deutschlands Karfreitag), 1919, medal in silver (40mm) by Karl Goetz, obv. a shackled figure of Germania being mocked by figures representing the Communists and Social-Democrats, in the background a procession taking part in the General Strike, rev. France's Clemenceau and Britain's Lloyd George throw dice for Germania's loin cloth, while America's Wilson seated and Italy's Orlando look up at a hand emerging from a cloud top left writing in fiery letters, BOLSCHEWI (Kienast. opus 224)
