DENMARK, Christian VII (1766-1808), Henrik Gerner medal in silver (58mm) by Holm, obv. long bust of Gerner to r., inscription around, HENRIK GERNER FABRIK MESTER / FOD 5 IUI I 1741 DOD 27 DEC 1787, rev. draped figure of Archimedes standing facing front with head turned left, holding dividers in left hand and pointing with right index finger at the Grecian galley behind, inscription VOR ARLIMEDES TIL AERE, in exergue, AF DE KONGEL DANSKE SOE OFFICERER, around edge KUN VED DYD OG FLID VINDES HAEDER. Good very fine.
