Bid at live.noble.com.au

QUEEN VICTORIA, proof set, 1875, silver and bronze issues of twelfth anna, half pice, quarter anna, half anna, two annas, quarter rupee, half rupee and rupee, all from Calcutta mint, (KM.465, 466, 467, 468, 469, 470, 472, 473.2). Sharp FDC (except on quarter rupee which is weak in places), all with attractive blue red and gold tone on silver, copper brilliant, extremely rare. (8)

The silver and copper appear to have no evidence of any deteriation of the dies and appear to be original contempory strikes, all (except the quarter anna with obverse finger print) are superb strikes with a most attractive patination. Pridmore reports proof specimens for this year for all the denominations (p.194;196).

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price.
