HERENNIUS ETRUSCUS (A.D. 251), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, (3.44 grams), obv. radiate bust of Herennius Etruscus to right, around Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, rev. Spes advancing to left, around SPES PVBLICA, (S.9526, RIC 149, RSC 38). Very fine, scarce.

Ex Cornelius C. Vermeule III Collection, sold in Triton III (lot 1718 part) for the benefit of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts with his ticket.
