MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), AE as, issued 147, (11.81 grams), obv. AVRELIVS CAE SAR AVG PII F, around bare head, with drapery on left shoulder, rev. [TR] POT COS II, Minerva standing to right holding spear and leaning on shield, S C across field, (S.4838, RIC 1266, C.598, BMC p.293 #). Tiber patina, portrait nearly extremely fine, weak on parts of legend, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
