L. HOSTILIUS SASERNA, (48 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.81 grams), obv. Gallia head to right, Gaulish trumpet behind, rev. Diana of Ephesus facing with stag and spear, L HOSTILIVS [SASERNA] around, (S.419, Cr.448/3, Syd.953, RSC.Hostilia 4). Off centred, with banker's mark on cheek, light grey patina, very fine and rare.
