EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.81 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, **D* behind, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, between legs X, around **SWTHROS PTOLEMAIOU*, (cf.S.7772, Sv.436, SNG Cop 138). Bright, mount removed from edge, obverse scratches, otherwise nearly fine.
