GEORGE V, 1926 Sydney. Specimen strike, unmarked, with full original mint bloom, gem uncirculated and extremely rare, a possibly unrepeatable opportunity to acquire the finest example of this great rarity.

This is the 6th last sovereign to be struck of the Sydney Mint 11th August 1926. Sold on behalf of the family of the recipient Robert Craig Dixson, brother of Sir William Dixson. Of the fifty coins struck that day the last eight were struck individually and distributed as follows taking the last struck as no. 1, 1&2 to London 3&4 Mr W. Dixson 5 Dr. Waterhouse 6 Mr. R.C Dixson (this coin) 7&8 Mr Christie 'I was present RCD' Sold with R.C.Dixson's handwritten card (illustrated) and a present day letter confirming provenance from Mr. Hugh Dixson, R.C. Dixson's son, on behalf of the Dixson trust.
