VICTORIA POLICE FORCE, an exercise book being a 'Diary of Arrests' from 1st September, 1885 to 26th July, 1897 by Sergeant Henry Cawsey of the Victoria Police Force, Criminal Investigation Branch, also a letter dated 29th December, 1897, congratulating him on his promotopn to the rank and pay of Sub-Inspector of Police, signed by the Chief Commissioner of Police, H.M.Chomley; a handwritten copy of a report relating to a recommendation that Cawsey be given an increased allowance; a newspaper cutting relating to the criminal offender Frederick Bailey Deeming, arrested and prosecuted by Cawsey, convicted for murder, he was hung 10am May 23, 1892. Very good. (4)
