TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 3053 Pte S.R.Fleming 8/Bn A.I.F. on first, second and third medals. All medals impressed. An extremely rare combination of W.W.I medals and Police Strikers Association badge, very fine.
Pte Stanley Richard Fleming, 8th & 60th Battalions A.I.F. Enl.09Jul1915 R.T.A.06Sept1919. On 05May1922 as Richard Stanislaus Fleming he became 6689 of the Victorian Police Force and was later dismissed for 'refusing duty'.He is listed in 'Days of Violence' appendix A as one of the 634 dismissed and in appendix F as a witness before the Royal Commission. Together with soldiers pay books (3), Police Strikes Association 1-11-23 badge in gilt and enamel (24mm x 20mm) numbered 97 on reverse by Stokes & Sons Melb, and some research.
