NETHERLANDS, Gelderland, silver ducaton or rider, 1730 (KM.95.3). With some original hoard patination and water corrosion on surface on reverse, otherwise nearly very fine/ fine.

Ex wreck of the 'De Visch', wrecked 1740 off the coast of South Africa, It was a Dutch East Indiaman en route to Batavia in the East Indies. A Certificate of Authenticity by Daniel Frank Sedwick is included with the lot.
