KOREA, Yi Dynasty, 'Sang P'Yong T'ong Bo' (Always even Currency), Treasury Department 'Hojo', 'Ho' above, issue of King Yi Sun (1675-1721), copper two mun, issued 1679-1752, bottom character two, (2, 30mm, 31mm [illustrated]), (Mandel 13.71.0; KM.74); similar two mun issued 1742-1752, bottom character as numbers in thousand character classic furnaces 2, 3 [illustrated], 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 19, (Mandel 13.73.2 -.19, KM.78, 80, 86, 88, 90, 92, 95, 113); Yi Hyong (1864-1907), copper five mun, issued 1883, to right 'tang' (equal to) to left numeral 5 bottom furnaces 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 (2, one with weight 20.24 grams other 9.26 grams [normal weight]), (Mandel 13.81.1-.10, KM.136.1-.10); similar issues with wide 'Ho' issued 1883, below furnaces 1, 11, (Mandel 13.81A-B.1 & .11, KM.138.1 & .11); similar issue of 1882, with crescent under furnace number, furnaces 1 [illustrated], 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 [2, one heavy], (Mandel 13.82.1-.10, KM.140.1-.10); similar value 100 mun, left character 'Paek' (hundred), issued 1866 to right 'tang' (equal to), below 'tae' (great), (Mandel 13.91.0, KM.143).
