KOREA, Yi Dynasty, 'Sang P'Yong T'ong Bo' (Always even Currency), Treasury Department 'Hojo', 'Ho' above, issue of King Yi Um (1725-1777), copper mun, issued from 1731, furnaces 2, 3 [illustrated], 5, 8, 9, (Mandel 13.2.2-9; KM.8.1); King Yi Kwang (1801-1835), mun issued 1806, furnaces 1, 2 [illustrated], 3, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 [illustrated], (Mandel 13.2A.1-14, KM 9.1, 10.1). Very good - good very fine. (11)

The earlier and later types vary by the 'Ho' characters on the reverse. The king's names are not mentioned on the coins and are only noted once for reference when they appear for that period of issue in this and subsequent lots.
