Jesse Hall. Enl 17Apr1916,RTA 08Oct1919. MM.LG.: 28Jan1918, C.G.: 27Jun1918 'At Passchendaele Ridge on the 13/10/17. For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty. This Stretcher Bearer went out time and time under a heavy artillery and machine gun barrage and very different conditions whilst the enemy were sniping Stretchers Bearers to rescue wounded comrades and showed absolute disregard for his personal safety. His skill and care saved many a man from death and his knowledge and principles of First Aid proved invaluable to those to whom in the course of duty it became his lot to tend.' Awarded MM 16Oct1917.
