EDWARD III, (1327-1377), gold quarter noble, Transitional Treaty period, issued 1361-1363, saltire stops in legend, London mint, mm. cross potent, annulets in angles and pellet in centre on reverse, (S.1501, N.1224, Schneider SCBI 47 No.72). Probably has been mounted on edge, otherwise very fine and rare.
