SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D. 222-235), imitative cast medal after original medallion, (35.96 grams), obv. laureate bust of emperor to right, legend around, rev. Emperor presenting globe to Jupiter seated to left, soldiers behind, around PERPE TVITAS IMP AVG, (Gnecchi 10 [P.80], Pl.98,10). A cast of the illustrated Gnecchi example, very fine.
