MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.440 grams), Uncertain eastern mint, issued after 323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, HI monogram to left, name off flan, (cf.S.6713, Price -, BMC -). With some hoard patination needing cleaning, otherwise good fine.

Ex Recent 'Seleucid Hoard'.
