ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (272-235 B.C.), silver stater, (6.372 grams), obv. naked boy rider crowning stationary horse to right, below **NK monogram, **FILOKRA* above to left, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a tripod, and Nike extending a wreath to Taras, below trace of API**STO*, **[TAP]AS to right, (cf.S.374, cf.Vl.867, cf.SNG ANS 1196). Porous surface, otherwise very fine.
