ITALY, Kingdom of Sicily, Roger II (1105-1154), issued 1130-1138, AE follaro, Messina, copper coinage, obv. Roger standing with sceptre, P/O/GE/PI/O to left, P/H/S to right, rev. + IC +XC+NI+KA around a cross patent (eight lines), (MEC 178-179, Spahr 78, Biaggi 1223); another similar obv. Roger seated facing similar legend, rev. cross IC-XC/NI-KA; (MEC 180-182, Spahr 77, Biaggi 1222). Fine - very fine and both very scarce. (2)
