SOLD $1,100

ELIZABETH II, proof bi-metallic ten dollars, Millenium series, 1999 (the past); Perth Mint, proof one ounce silver millenium dollar, 2000, includes two new millenium letters which were carried on the Millenium Sunflight to Antarctica. Uncirculated - FDC. (3)

The Millenium Sun flight left Sydney at 12:55 on Friday 31st December, 1999. As such all items in this lot were the first of their kind to be carried into the new Millenium. The letters and coin certificates were all signed by the pilot John Dennis, one minute into the New Millenium, and at Sydney terminal before departure. Thus making these items unique. Ex the late Paul Melmeth Collection.
