ITALY, Brindisi, Federick II, (1197-1250), silver half denaros, issued in 1221, obv. around + F IMPERATOR cross in centre, rev. eagle with crown above, around REX SICIL, (cf.Biaggi 444); another issue of 1246, obv. around + F ROMANR SE HP AVG, I P in centre, rev. cross potent in circle 4 dots in one quarter, around R IERSL ET SICIL, (Biaggi 469). Very fine, first very rare, second scarce. (2)
