PEOPLE'S BANK OF HALIFAX, uniface printer's proofs (front and back), twenty dollars, 25th May 1864, not numbered, imprint American Bank Note Co NY, with 'Plate proof' pencilled on back. Mounted on card, extremely fine.

The People's Bank of Halifax was established in 1864. The Bank with its twenty-six branches was absorbed by The Bank of Montreal in 1905.
