Ex Sotheby's (London) 1979, S Baldwin (Auckland) 1997. Ralph Leigh served in New Zealand from 1860 to 1865 and took part in several engagements including Waireka (March 1860) and Rangiriri (November 1863).He is mentioned in Major Gordon's text 'British Battles and Medals' He was awarded a medal dated 1860-65 one of 139 of this date to the 65th Regiment.
