CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, memorial medal (1784) in silver (43mm) by L.Pingo for the Royal Society (M.H.374; BHM.258). Blue-grey, almost iridescent toned nearly uncirculated, minor contact mark left obverse field, rare, only 322 struck, no noticeble die rust.
