NERVA, (A.D. 96-98), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 97, (24.45 grams), head of Nerva to right, around [IMP] NERVA CAES AVG P M [TR P .. COS III P P], rev. around [VE]HICVLATIONE ITA[LIAE RE]MISSA, two mules grazing to left and right, S C in exergue, (cf.S.962, RIC 93 or 104, C.143-4). Bright Tiber patina, weak in places, otherwise very good and very rare.

A similar example was in Sale 53 (lot 2402).
