SICILY, Syracuse, (c.435 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.845 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, rev. **SUPAKOSION around, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair tied up behind, four dolphins around, (cf.S.933 [Ã…â€Å‣1000], Boehringer 727 (same dies), SNG Ash.1991 (same dies), SNG Munich 1045 (same dies). Porous flan, otherwise nearly very fine, scarce.

Boehringer note 20 specimens from these dies, only a few in private collections.
