SICILY, Syracuse, (c.482-480 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.49 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, rev. **SUPAKOSION around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair straight, bound by beaded diadem, four dolphins around, (cf.S.913, Boehringer 80 [same dies V37/R52]). Toned, good very fine/very fine and very scarce. $$ Boehringer notes only eight specimens from these dies.
