ITALY, Bruttium, Caulonia, (c.450 B.C.), silver third stater or nomos, (2.20 grams), obv. Apollo to right, stag to right on right, KAY behind, rev. stag to right KAV retrograde above, branch before, (cf.S.464, Noe 211, SNG Lloyd 587 [same dies], SNG Fitz. 741 [same dies]). Toned good very fine, and very scarce.
