ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (281-272 B.C.), silver stater, (5.79 grams), obv. naked helmeted warrior holding short javelin and shield on horse galloping to right, below **FINTV in one line, EY behind, both very weak, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a trident, and Nike holding wreath to right, before **POLV, **[TAPAS] on right, prow below, (cf.S.372, cf.Vl.720, cf.SNG ANS 1088). Very fine.
