ANASTASIUS II, (A.D. 713-715), gold solidus, Constantinople mint, Officina B, (4.43 grams), obv. bust facing of Anastasius II, with close beard, holding cross on globe, wearing chlamys, around dN AP[TEMIY A] NASTASIYS MYL, rev. Cross potent on three steps, around VICTORIA AVGUB, CONOB in exergue, (S.1463, DOC [2b], BMC 1 = To.1). As struck, lightly toned, with underlaying mint bloom, good extremely fine and a very rare emperor.
