HERACLIUS, (610-641), gold solidus, issued 638-639, Constantinople mint, Officina A, (4.47 grams), obv. standing crowned figures of Heraclius in centre, Heraclius Constantine on left, and Heraclonas on right, cross on each crown, rev. Cross potent on three steps, monogram to left, B to right, around VICTORIA AVGU A, CONOB in exergue, (S.767, DOC 41a). Nearly extremely fine and a scarce type.
