BILL, issued in Sydney New South Wales, 19th May 1856 and due 22 May 1858, on printed form by James W. Waugh Stationer 14 Hunter St. Sydney, numbered 288, for Ã…â€Å‣72.2.6, states 'Twenty four months after date I promise to pay Messers Morehead & Young or order the Sum of Seventy two pounds 2/6, bearing interest at 7 per Cent per annum Sterling value received, Payable at the Office of messrs Morehead 7 Young, Sydney, witness Henry T. Gilbert signed by Wm. Freshwater by his X (mark).' details on back of repayment, with three attractive vignettes of sheep, ships and farming on left. Very fine and probably unique.
