JAHANGIR (A.H.1014-1037, A.D. 1556-1605), silver zodiacal rupee, (10.95 grams), Agra mint, Regnal year 13, 1027 A.H. (A.D.1618), original issue, obv. Aries (ram) to left sun behind, rev. date and names of Akbar and Jahangir, (KM. 150.2, BMC 361-3, Lahore 336). Very good and very rare.

The silver zodiacal rupees were only struck for five months or signs, many later copies were made, this issue although worn is an original stike of A.H. 1027 (1618).
