CONSTANTIUS II, (A.D. 337-361), AE folles, issued 327 as Caesar, Constantinople mint, obv. laureate bust to left draped and cuirassed of Constantius, around FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, rev. camp gate two turrets, star above, seven stone layers, around PROVIDEN TIAE CAESS, CONS in exergue, A in left field, (RIC 21.1 [R4], cf.S.3984). Nearly extremely fine and an extremely rare variant.
